File this one under the category of ridiculous ideas that will never lead to anything perhaps. But my latest idea was that I could make short videos of myself singing the original songs written by my older daughter, who's currently six years old. I've seen all these viral sensations lately who post a video which then gets fifty million views. I'd love it if my daughter could be one of those. But we decided as a family not to have our kids be available publicly on sites like YouTube and Twitter. So having her on camera is out. Her songs, though....
Which led me to the idea of ME singing her songs on video and posting them on YouTube. I'm more the public face of the family, promoting myself through my blog, my Twitter feed, etc. I find these videos really easy to make. And my daughter really is quite talented and could be a songwriter one day. So, it's a natural, right? I mean I'm not a great singer or anything, but that won't matter all that much. The idea is to get the songs out there and make a viral splash.
I know, it'll never happen. But I might make a video or two and see if they're worth posting.
